Watching the Weather!

The news is all about the “epic storm” overtaking a third of the country.   In 2007 we delayed by a day going to Camp Restore in New Orleans when an “epic” ice storm covered most of Missouri.  Once we did get on our way, we stopped in Springfield, Missouri, for a break.  The gas station only had limited electricity inside and no working gas pumps.  The DJs on the radio were taking calls to get generators, water, and other necessities out to those who needed it.  It was a good reminder of how quickly we take things for granted, but also how we can pull together as a community.

We’ve got our eye on this storm, and we know God’s got His eye on us.  For every mission trip we’ve taken, His presence in our midst is unmistakable.  And that we do not take for granted!
